Our Philosophy Energy is everything, the stuff of life. We can say without apology that energy turns us on. But we need to clear up a popular misconception. We need to get our words straight when it comes to the phrase "energy efficiency". Contrary to popular belief, "efficiency" does not mean "to use less", and "energy efficiency" does not simply mean "to use less energy". Efficiency does not mean an end, but rather a better means of accomplishing some end. Efficiency means better performance. An energy efficient refrigerator holds more food at a more consistent temperature using as little energy as possible with current technology. And when the next generation of appliances are more efficient, they will really have better materials, design, and technology. So consider for a moment that energy efficiency is not the nagging voice or scolding finger that it's been made out to be. "Saving energy" doesn't mean you have to turn out all the lights. Energy efficiency wants better lights - brighter light, more convenient, with efficient energy usage. Simply put, efficiency is the daughter of innovation. And we pay homage to that innovation by making it transparent to you the consumer, so you can improve your lifestyle with better products and appliances and we can help you to improve our environment along the way. Our Service Spectric wants you to Shop for Efficiency (TM). When you go to purchase an appliance, we want you to take a different approach. Instead of wading through various Websites and catalogues researching brands and models, we want you to begin by asking yourself which are the most energy efficient? Now you're probably thinking, "that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard." But hear us out. Energy efficient products are efficient because they're typically better products. Little wonder too. Efficiency is the result of better quality materials, better technology and systems, and greater research and development. When you Shop for Efficiency (TM), you select your appliances knowing they're the finest on the market, and you have the facts to back it up. Your result is a better quality product that allows you to do more. So forget about all the glitzy advertising, models, and slick tag lines for a minute. Forget about the rows and rows of confusing choices, and ask yourself, which are the most energy efficient? Better yet, ask us. Then ask us which neighborhood retailer near you is carrying the item you want so you can pick it up at your convenience. Yep, we do that too. Did we mention that we're free to use? And know that you are making a difference. Whether it's a refrigerator or a single light bulb, you're getting a better product, saving money, and sending a very real message to the status quo. When you Shop for Efficiency (TM), you reinforce the financial strength of energy efficient technologies and appliances. You dictate demand. And when General Electric sells more Energy Star-rated appliances from one month to the next because of growing public awareness and greater demand, they allocate more resources to and increase production of more Energy Star-rated appliances. So Shop for Efficiency (TM) and change the way things are done. Our Company Did we mention that energy turns us on? Seriously. We're geeks and dorks at heart, always wanting to get more for less and looking for ways to do just that... whatever that is. But we wouldn't be here if not for you, dear reader. We're here to constantly improve your buying experience when selecting products that minimize environmental impact while offering you better performance. And heck, any friend of the environment is a friend of ours.
